Rights and permitted use

What you may do with this work

This platform exists to be read, quoted and used in decisions. Most of what you are likely to want to do with it needs no permission at all. This page states the few things that do, what is asked of you in return, and what this page can and cannot actually do.

Use that needs no permission

• Read anything, from anywhere, without an account. There is no login, no paywall and no registration on this platform, and this edition did not add one.
• Quote it with attribution. Quote a figure, a finding, a paragraph or a chart in your own report, article, submission, lecture or paper, naming the platform and the page.
• Cite it. Every country brief and every institutional briefing carries a ready-made citation with its edition, build identifier and verification date. Use it as it stands.
• Link to it. Any page, deep or shallow. Links are welcome and nothing here is link-protected.
• Print it and circulate it internally. Print a brief or a generated briefing and share it inside your ministry, agency, university, newsroom or organisation. The print stylesheet is built for exactly this and carries the provenance block with it.
• Teach with it. Use pages, tables and briefings in teaching materials with attribution.
• Check the numbers. The method, the sources register and the machine-readable indicator list are published so that anybody can reproduce a calculation and dispute it.

What is asked in return

Attribution, and provenance that survives the copy. Name Africa 2036 Intelligence, an initiative by Orvantis Intelligence, created and directed by Hannah Kwakye, and keep the edition and verification date attached where you carry a figure. That last part is not ceremony: a number from this platform is only interpretable with its year, its scenario and its evidence state beside it, and a figure stripped of those is one this platform cannot stand behind.

If you disagree with something here, say so and cite it. A contested figure with its source attached is more useful to everyone than a quiet omission.

Use that requires permission

• Republishing the platform, or a substantial part of it, as your own work. Copying the country briefs, the institutional instrument, the evidence framework or the site wholesale — with or without a change of name — is not permitted.
• Presenting a generated briefing as independently produced. A briefing composed here may be used, quoted and circulated; it may not be re-issued as the analytical product of another organisation with the provenance removed.
• Commercial redistribution of the compiled work. Selling, licensing or bundling this platform's compiled research, written analysis or briefing output as a product or dataset.
• Use of the names. Africa 2036 Intelligence, Africa AI Intelligence, AI, Work & Inclusion and Orvantis Intelligence identify this work and its author. They may be used to refer to it and to cite it; they may not be used to name, brand or endorse another product or organisation.
• Training or ingestion for a commercial derived product. Reading, quoting and citing are free. Ingesting the compiled corpus to produce a competing analytical product is not.

Permission for these is usually available, and is often granted for the asking. It is asked for so that the work stays attributable, not to keep it scarce.

What is not claimed here

This matters as much as what is. The underlying public statistics are not this platform's property and are not claimed. Indicator series from the World Bank, the IMF, the ILO, the ITU, the FAO, UNESCO, the UN Population Division, national statistics agencies, central banks and ministries remain the work of those institutions and remain governed by their own terms and licences — go to them directly, and use them under their conditions, not these. Facts are not ownable. The year Ghana's electrification rate was measured, and the value recorded, belong to nobody.

What is authored here is the selection, the structure, the written analysis, the evidence framework, the scenario arithmetic and its published assumptions, the classification of research depth and evidence state, the interface, and the composed briefings. That is the work this page concerns.

Status of these rights

Copyright in the authored work is asserted by authorship, which is how copyright arises in most jurisdictions — it does not require registration. No copyright registration and no trade mark registration has been verified for this work, and none is claimed on this platform. The registered-mark symbol appears nowhere on this site, and the build fails if it ever does — a check runs on every release. This page is not legal advice, and it is not tailored to the law of any particular country.

Requesting permission, correcting the record, or reporting misuse

All four requests — permission, correction, attribution disputes and reports of copied work — go through the same route: hannahkwakye.netlify.app, the verified contact route for the platform's director.

This platform does not publish an email address, and does not operate a contact form of its own: it is a static site with no server-side endpoint that could receive one honestly. A dedicated rights address is a decision for the platform's director rather than something this edition should invent.

When reporting a copy, the useful things to include are the address where you found it, what appears to have been taken, and the date you saw it — with a saved copy or screenshot if you have one, because copied pages are often removed once they are noticed.
